We recently opened a state-of-the-art Youth Empowerment Hub equipped with ICT tools, vocational training rooms, and mentorship spaces. This marks a major step toward our mission to empower youth with practical skills and opportunities.

The Youth Empowerment Hub is a multipurpose facility that includes:

  • ICT Lab: Equipped with modern computers, internet access, and training software to enhance digital literacy and introduce youth to coding, graphic design, and online freelancing.

  • Vocational Training Rooms: Dedicated spaces for hands-on learning in fashion design, hairdressing, crafts, electronics repair, and agriculture.

  • Business Incubation Support: A mentorship program and workspace for young entrepreneurs with guidance on business planning, marketing, and accessing funding.

  • Community Resource Library: A mini-library stocked with career development materials, personal growth books, and academic resources.

  • Safe Youth Lounge: A creative and interactive space for peer-to-peer learning, leadership training, and networking events.

Back-to-School Drive Supports 1,200 Pupils Across Rural Schools

In its unwavering commitment to quality education and child welfare, the Space Community Development Initiative (SCDI) successfully executed a large-scale Back-to-School Drive that supported 1,200 pupils across underserved rural communities in Kogi State and Nigeria at large.

The initiative aimed to reduce school dropout rates by addressing one of the major barriers facing children from low-income families — lack of basic school supplies. For many of these children, returning to school would not have been possible without this timely intervention.

Over 500 People Reached in Community Health Outreach in Kogi

As part of our ongoing commitment to equitable healthcare access, Space Community Development Initiative (SCDI) successfully conducted a comprehensive Community Health Outreach program that provided life-saving health interventions to over 500 underserved individuals and families across three rural communities in Kogi State.

With the help of our dedicated healthcare team and medical volunteers, the outreach featured a full day of free services, including:

  • Medical consultations for common illnesses, chronic conditions, and general check-ups

  • Malaria testing and treatment

  • Maternal and child health support, including prenatal assessments and distribution of maternity kits

  • Hygiene education sessions focusing on handwashing, menstrual hygiene, and sanitation practices

  • Deworming and vitamin supplementation for children

  • Referrals for patients needing further medical attention
